A manual treadmill, the AssaultRunner Pro has become immensely popular amongst four-season runners, CrossFit athletes and others looking to achieve their fitness goals. It is not your average treadmill because it is not a motorized machine, which means it comes without a power button, plug and other adjustment buttons. No electrical consumption is needed for these. Instead, your speed, location, power and stride will power this treadmill.

The Workout Experience

The AssaultRunner Pro is one of the lowest priced manual treadmills in the market, but this does not mean that it is lacking in any way. It comes with a smooth belt and even though the slats may look a bit shaky, but they are placed on precision ball bearings and this gives you a smooth ride. But, you should bear in mind that there is a learning curve when it comes to using this machine, especially if you have not used a manual treadmill before.

The size of the AssaultRunner Pro is similar to that of most commercial treadmills you will come across. Its width and length is similar to that of a twin mattress at 32 and 76 inches, but its height is about 64.4 inches.

While it is quite hefty at about 290 pounds, the good thing about the AssaultRunner Pro is that it comes with wheels on the front and its rear has a handle built into it, thereby making it easier to shift it around. But, it is still heavy, so it is best to leave it be.

Technology

The AssaultRunner Pro only has one button labeled ‘Start’ and as obvious, its purpose is to get you moving and grooving. Once you have turned on the machine, it can show you all sorts of metrics, such as speed, distance, time, calories and watts. But, you should bear in mind that this treadmill comes without a touchscreen. It has a simple LCD display, but it does come with Bluetooth connectivity, which means you can track your heart rate if you want.

Warranty

As far as warranty is concerned, the AssaultRunner Pro comes with a 5-year warranty for the frame, while its moving parts have a warranty of three years. The good news is that the machine has been designed to be highly durable, even with a lot of traffic, so you are unlikely to need the warranty.
